Editor form-process takeover via unchecked YAML frontmatter
Published Dec 1, 2025 · Updated Dec 2, 2025
Improper authorization in GetGrav Grav before 1.8.0-beta.27 allows remote authenticated users to alter form processing through page edits. The POST /admin/pages/{page_name} handler accepts data[_json][header][form] YAML frontmatter, including its process section, without enforcing field-level editor permissions. An account with page-editing rights can change redirects, email actions, or templates and can chain the change with Twig injection to execute code.
