Command execution via nested Twig sanitizer bypass
Published Dec 1, 2025 · Updated Dec 2, 2025
Server-side template injection in GetGrav Grav before 1.8.0-beta.27 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands. The cleanDangerousTwig method uses a regex that misses nested calls and permits evaluate functions, letting crafted form input reach Twig execution. Editor permission with the Form and Admin plugins is the primary gate; a preexisting form that evaluates guest input also exposes remote attackers.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
