Service interruption via crafted FTP command
Published Aug 18, 2025 · Updated Aug 18, 2025
Improper input validation in Schneider Electric Modicon controllers and communication modules allows remote attackers to interrupt service via FTP. The embedded FTP command parser processes a specific crafted command without adequate validation; Schneider Electric has not disclosed the malformed field or failure path. Network access to the device's FTP service is sufficient, and successful exploitation makes the device unavailable.
