CVE-2025-6617Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via unchecked webpage copy

Published Jun 25, 2025 · Updated Jun 25, 2025

Stack-based overflow in D-Link DIR-619L 2.06B01 allows remote authenticated users to crash the router via a crafted webpage value. The boa formAdvanceSetup handler copies the webpage POST parameter into a fixed-size stack local without length validation, overwriting its saved return address. LAN access to the authenticated web configuration is required; demonstrated exploitation leaves routing services persistently unavailable, while return-address control supports arbitrary code execution.
