Database modification via unparameterized Cypher input
Published Jan 14, 2026 · Updated Jan 14, 2026
Cypher injection in affected Apache Camel Neo4j releases allows remote attackers to alter operations executed by the Neo4j database. Neo4jProducer inserts string message bodies and CamelNeo4jMatchProperties values directly into generated Cypher query text instead of parsing and binding them as parameters. Exploitation requires a Camel route that passes attacker-controlled message content to the producer, and the resulting query operates with the route's Neo4j privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=4.10.0 <4.10.8
- Affected versionversion=4.14.0 <4.14.3
