Authenticated code execution via unchecked curTime copy
Published Jun 25, 2025 · Updated Jun 26, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in D-Link DIR-619L 2.06B01 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted curTime value. The boa formAutoDetecWAN_wizard4 handler copies curTime into a stack local variable without a length check, overwriting the function return address. Access to the web configuration is required; the public proof of concept demonstrates a persistent router crash, while the analysis establishes return-address control.
