Stored script execution via unencoded patient names
Published Jun 25, 2025 · Updated Jun 25, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in PHPGurukul Hospital Management System in PHP 4.0 allows remote authenticated users to run script in a viewer's browser. The doctor-facing manage-patient.php flow accepts a crafted patient Name value, stores it in the database, and renders it on a later profile view without neutralizing script markup. A doctor login and a subsequent page view are required; successful exploitation changes displayed content or performs browser actions in the viewer's session.
