Administrative command execution via unsanitized NTP parameter
Published Jan 9, 2026 · Updated Jan 9, 2026
OS command injection in VIVOTEK IP7137 firmware 0200a allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through an HTTP request. The /cgi-bin/admin/setparam.cgi handler fails to sanitize the system_ntpIt value before using it in an operating-system command. Administrative privileges are required, but the camera's default configuration leaves the administrator account without a password, enabling injected commands to control the device.
