CVE-2025-66042Public exploit

Information disclosure via unchecked EMF rectangle count

Published Mar 17, 2026 · Updated Mar 17, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in Affinity before 3.1.0 allows attackers to disclose process memory by opening a crafted EMF file. The EMR_EXTSELECTCLIPRGN parser trusts CountRects when calculating the RegionData span, allowing the computed length to exceed RgnDataSize and read past the record. Exploitation requires a user to open the file on Windows; the read exposes memory and can interrupt the application, but it does not alter data.
