Backend JavaScript execution via unescaped media type
Published Nov 26, 2025 · Updated Nov 26, 2025
Reflected XSS in REDAXO CMS before 5.20.1 allows remote attackers to run JavaScript in an authenticated user's backend session. The Mediapool media.list.php view concatenates args[types] into a rex_view::info banner without passing the value through rex_escape. Exploitation requires a logged-in backend user to open a crafted link, exposing session data and permitting actions with that user's privileges.
