Phishing redirects via unconfirmed Markdown links
Published Nov 26, 2025 · Updated Nov 26, 2025
Link injection in Caido before 0.53.0 allows remote attackers to redirect users from Findings to attacker-controlled domains. The Findings Markdown renderer turns attacker-supplied link syntax from scanner- or plugin-generated findings into clickable external links without confirmation. A user must open the crafted finding and click the link; the documented consequence is a phishing-style redirect, not code execution or data modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
