CVE-2025-66022Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated remote code execution via extension upload

Published Nov 26, 2025 · Updated Nov 26, 2025

Remote code execution in Faction Security FACTION before 1.7.1 allows remote attackers to run system commands via a malicious extension. The App Store controllers expose the extension dashboard when the App Store is disabled, and FACTION loads uploaded JAR code without validation or isolation. The upload needs no authentication, but execution waits until an authenticated user's normal workflow invokes an extension lifecycle hook.
