Authenticated file disclosure and modification via missing checks
Published Nov 25, 2025 · Updated Nov 26, 2025
Authorization bypass in HumHub Files 0.16.10 and earlier or 0.17.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read and alter public-space files. ZIPCreator originally selects every child file and folder without readable scopes and adds entries without calling canView(). Any authenticated non-member can reach the affected operations in public spaces, including folder creation and ZIP upload or download; private spaces are unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
