Resource exhaustion in thread-amount before 0.2.2 allows remote attackers to crash long-running applications on Windows and macOS. The thread_amount function leaves CreateToolhelp32Snapshot handles open on Windows and task_threads allocations undeallocated on macOS. Exploitation requires a consuming application to let attacker-controlled activity repeatedly invoke thread-count queries; the resulting impact is a process crash.
