CVE-2025-65946Network attack vector

Arbitrary code execution via zsh glob qualifiers

Published Nov 21, 2025 · Updated Nov 21, 2025

Command injection in Roo Code before 3.26.7 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through crafted zsh glob qualifiers. The containsDangerousSubstitution check in webview-ui/src/utils/command-validation.ts failed to recognize zsh e: glob qualifiers, so an allow-listed command prefix could conceal executable shell text and receive automatic approval. Exploitation requires prompt injection and the off-by-default automatic command approval setting; success runs attacker-chosen commands with the editor user's privileges.
