CVE-2025-6592Network attack vector

Identity linkage disclosure via retained AbuseLog associations

Published Feb 2, 2026 · Updated Feb 2, 2026

Information disclosure in Wikimedia Foundation AbuseFilter before 1.43.2 and 1.44.0 allows remote authenticated users to link account identities. The AuthManager account-creation path keeps the temporary username and source IP associated with the new permanent username in AbuseLog. Temporary accounts and an account-creation transition must be enabled, and viewing the exposed IP association requires private AbuseLog access.
