Process crash via invalid CUDA device index
Published Jan 28, 2026 · Updated Jan 28, 2026
Denial of service in OneFlow 0.9.0 allows attackers to crash the Python process by passing an invalid GPU index to CUDA synchronization. flow.cuda.synchronize passes the unvalidated device value to cudaSetDevice, whose invalid-device failure reaches a fatal check and aborts with a core dump. Exploitation requires a CUDA-enabled process and a calling application that lets attackers influence the device argument; the observed consequence is process termination.
