Process crash via unchecked tensor dimensions
Published Jan 28, 2026 · Updated Jan 28, 2026
Improper dimension validation in OneFlow 0.9.0 flow.empty() allows remote attackers to crash the process using negative or oversized dimensions. flow.empty() accepts the supplied size and reaches oneflow::ep::primitive::CheckInplace, where a dimension mismatch triggers a fatal check and process abort. Reachability requires attacker-controlled tensor dimensions, and the demonstrated consequence is a core-dumping process crash without reported data access or modification.
