Script execution via reflected login username
Published Dec 2, 2025 · Updated Dec 2, 2025
Reflected XSS in Sourcecodester Zoo Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute scripts via a crafted login username. The login endpoint includes the unsanitized username in a JSON-encoded error response but omits an application/json Content-Type, so browsers interpret injected markup as HTML. Exploitation requires a victim to submit an attacker-controlled cross-origin login form, and the script runs in the victim's browser context.
