Administrator-session script execution via stored username
Published Dec 2, 2025 · Updated Dec 2, 2025
Stored XSS in Calibre-Web 0.6.25 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in an administrator's browser. The user-management flow stores the username without validation or encoding, and /ajax/listusers inserts the returned value into the DOM without escaping. Administrator privileges are required to create the malicious user, and another administrator must view the user list; execution is confined to the affected origin.
