Service interruption via unauthenticated BLE commands
Published Dec 10, 2025 · Updated Dec 10, 2025
Missing authentication in Meatmeet Pro BBQ Thermometer 1.0.34.4 allows physically proximate attackers to interrupt service over BLE. The BLE GATT write characteristic accepts fixed restart, clear-configuration, and shutdown byte sequences without authenticating the sender. BLE proximity is required; shutdown stops cloud updates, while clearing configuration disassociates the device until it is configured again.
