Wi-Fi credential disclosure via hard-coded firmware secrets
Published Dec 10, 2025 · Updated Dec 10, 2025
Hard-coded credentials in Meatmeet Pro firmware 1.0.34.4 allow attackers to obtain the vendor test network's Wi-Fi password. The NVS partition stores the test SSID and password in cleartext, and extracting the device flash over UART exposes both values. Physical device access is needed for the documented extraction; physically proximate attackers can also impersonate the network during setup, causing the thermometer to join an attacker-controlled access point.
