Improper UART access control in Meatmeet Pro firmware 1.0.34.4 allows physically proximate attackers to read and replace device firmware. The ESP32 remains in UART download mode, so probes and a USB-UART adapter can pull IO9 low to dump flash contents or write an attacker-controlled image. Exploitation requires disassembling the thermometer and contacting its circuit board; exposed NVS data includes current and prior Wi-Fi details.
