CVE-2025-65817Public exploit

Root command execution via unvalidated SD-card hook

Published Dec 22, 2025 · Updated Dec 22, 2025

Code injection in LSC Smart Connect Indoor IP Camera 1.4.13 allows physically proximate attackers to execute commands as root via an SD card. The start_app.sh boot script copies an unvalidated update.nor.sh file from the mounted card, marks it executable, and runs it as root. Exploitation requires SD-card write access and a reboot; the linked report labels the tested firmware 1.14.13, while the CVE record identifies 1.4.13.
