Code injection in Markdown Preview Enhanced 0.8.18 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through a crafted Markdown file. The preview renderer places attacker-controlled HTML into an iframe configured to run embedded scripts with same-origin privileges. Exploitation requires a user to open the file in the extension; the script can probe localhost services and exfiltrate collected data.
