Admin-level code execution via unvalidated extension metadata
Published Dec 2, 2025 · Updated Dec 3, 2025
PHP file inclusion in Dcat Admin 2.2.3-beta and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code through extension installation. VersionManager extracts an uploaded extension ZIP and includes its version.php file without validating the PHP content before execution. Administrative extension-upload access and a writable extraction directory are required; successful exploitation can create a server-side PHP shell.
