Cross-session JavaScript execution via unescaped Country option
Published Dec 1, 2025 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
Stored XSS in the Locations module of Snipe-IT before 8.3.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user's session. The country-select macro inserts an unrecognized stored Country value into an HTML option's value and text without escaping it. Location-management permission is required to store the payload, which runs when another user views or edits the affected location.
