Stored XSS via unescaped settings error messages
Published Dec 9, 2025 · Updated Dec 11, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in AllskyTeam AllSky 2024.12.06_06 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in a settings-page visitor's browser. The config, filename, and extratext inputs to allskySettings.php flow into error messages that StatusMessages::showMessages() emits as HTML without neutralizing markup. Execution occurs when the settings page is reloaded or visited, allowing script to run in that visitor's browser context.
