Browser script execution via unescaped profile fields
Published Nov 29, 2025 · Updated Dec 1, 2025
Stored XSS in Exrick xmall 1.1 allows remote attackers to execute scripts in an administrator's browser through a malicious username. In member-list.jsp, a DataTables renderer concatenates username into HTML; member-show.jsp then inserts username and description with jQuery .html() instead of text-only APIs. Exploitation requires attacker-controlled registration and an administrator to view the member list or detail modal, where the payload runs with that browser session's authority.
