Unauthenticated arbitrary file upload via checkout handler
Published Oct 11, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in OvaTheme's Ovatheme Events Manager 1.8.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to place files on the server. The process_checkout() function accepts uploaded checkout files without validating their file types before storing them. No authentication is required; server-side execution depends on the web server treating an uploaded file as executable code.
