Administrator takeover via forged password-change request
Published Dec 11, 2025 · Updated Dec 11, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in EasyImages 2.0 2.8.6 and earlier allows attackers to change an administrator password via a malicious page. The /admin/admin.inc.php endpoint accepts an auto-submitted forged POST containing attacker-selected password values without validating request authenticity. A logged-in administrator must visit the page; the changed password then grants the attacker administrative access, including the ability to upload executable content.
