Buffer overflow in getSideInfo2() in LIVE555 Streaming Media 2018.09.02 allows attackers to crash a process via a crafted MP3 stream. The function copies attacker-controlled MP3 side-information data without checking that it fits the destination buffer. Exploitation requires user interaction to make an affected application process the stream, and the documented consequence is a crash only.
