Physical root command execution via crafted SD card
Published Jan 14, 2026 · Updated Jan 14, 2026
Improper authentication in Blurams Flare Camera firmware 24.1114.151.929 and earlier allows physically proximate attackers to execute root commands. The safe_exec.sh startup script treats a crafted auth.ini on the SD card as authorized when /opt/images/public_key.der is absent. Physical access and the missing public key file are both required; successful exploitation grants complete root-level control of the camera.
