Stored XSS via unescaped playicon_title shortcode attribute
Published Jun 26, 2025 · Updated Jul 29, 2026
Stored XSS in MDZ Namasha By Mdesign 1.2.00 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through playicon_title. The main shortcode renderer accepts the playicon_title attribute without sufficient sanitization and emits it into page output without contextual escaping. Contributor-level access is required to store the payload, which executes in the browser whenever a user visits the injected page.
