CVE-2025-6536Public exploit

Local service crash via malformed datetime input

Published Jun 24, 2025 · Updated Jun 24, 2025

Reachable assertion in Tarantool 3.3.0 and 3.3.1 allows local users to crash datetime parsing with a crafted date string. datetime_strptime passes the parsed day-of-month to tm_to_datetime, where an out-of-range value reaches the 1-through-31 assertion. Exploitation requires low-privileged local code execution and interrupts only the parsing process; no data disclosure or modification is reported.
