CVE-2025-6534Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated file deletion via unchecked file ID

Published Jun 24, 2025 · Updated Jun 25, 2025

Improper authorization in Novel-Plus 5.1.0 through 5.1.3 allows remote authenticated users to delete stored files by ID. The FileController.remove endpoint accepts an attacker-supplied file ID, retrieves its path, deletes its database record, and then deletes the corresponding file while its permission annotation remains disabled. Any authenticated account that can guess or obtain another file's ID can remove that file, directly altering stored content and interrupting functions that depend on it.
