CVE-2025-65295Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Malicious firmware installation via disabled signature checks

Published Dec 10, 2025 · Updated Dec 10, 2025

Firmware update flaws in Aqara hubs allow remote attackers to install malicious firmware through the network update process. In Camera Hub G3 4.1.9_0027, Hub M2 4.3.6_0027, and Hub M3 4.3.6_0025, ha_master invokes fw_manager.sh with -n, causing fw_unpack to skip signature checks; signing also uses 1024-bit RSA and MD5, while fw_pack writes uninitialized model_id bytes into headers. Network access to the update path and substantial computation for signature forgery are the reported gates; accepted firmware enables persistent device compromise, while downloaded headers disclose stack artifacts.
