Unauthenticated root command execution via CoAP RPC
Published Dec 10, 2025 · Updated Dec 10, 2025
Command injection in Aqara Camera Hub G3 4.1.9_0027, Hub M2 4.3.6_0027, and Hub M3 4.3.6_0025 allows remote attackers to execute commands. The ha_master CoAP handler accepts unauthenticated requests at /lumi/gw/rpc and passes the params value to system_command or system_run without access control or command filtering. Commands run with root privileges; system_command returns captured output, while system_run launches a silent background process.
