Root command execution via unsanitized QR data
Published Dec 10, 2025 · Updated Dec 10, 2025
Command injection in Aqara Camera Hub G3 4.1.9_0027 allows physically proximate attackers to execute root commands via crafted QR codes. In ha_master, parse_wifi_qr_data omits newline and carriage return from its blacklist, while the factory-reset path concatenates unchecked ss and pp values into commands passed to system(). The camera must process the malicious code during device setup or factory reset; successful exploitation yields full root-level command execution.
