Browser script execution via password-recovery parameters
Published Dec 22, 2025 · Updated Dec 22, 2025
Reflected XSS in ClinCapture EDC 2.2.3 and 3.0 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in a victim's browser via a crafted request. The password-recovery RequestPassword endpoint reflects the name or email parameter into its response without neutralizing executable markup. Exploitation requires a victim to open the crafted request; injected script then runs in the EDC origin and can read exposed data or act as that victim.
