CVE-2025-65203Network attack vector

Credential theft via unchecked sandbox origin

Published Dec 17, 2025 · Updated Dec 17, 2025

Credential exposure in KeePassXC-Browser 1.9.9.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to steal stored credentials from sandboxed pages. The isIframeAllowed function checks cross-origin access but does not reject documents whose self.origin is null, so credential filling proceeds inside iframe-attribute or CSP-sandboxed content. A victim must visit attacker-controlled sandboxed content and permit or trigger credential filling; script in that content can then read and exfiltrate populated form fields.
