Application hang via repeated regex backtracking

Regular-expression denial of service in youtube-regex 1.0.5 and earlier allows attackers to hang consuming Node.js applications with crafted input. The pattern exported from index.js repeatedly backtracks across long sequences of malformed watch? fragments when its test method evaluates an input string. Exposure requires an application to pass attacker-controlled text to the regex; the resulting CPU exhaustion stalls the process without affecting confidentiality or integrity.
