CVE-2025-65116

Service interruption via invalid pointer release

Published Apr 7, 2026 · Updated Apr 7, 2026

Buffer overflow in Hitachi JP1 desktop-management products on Windows allows local users to interrupt affected services. The CNA maps the flaw to an invalid pointer or reference release, but Hitachi has not disclosed the affected component, input, or exact failure path. Low-privileged local access is required, no user interaction is needed, and the published impact is limited to availability; whether the failure causes a crash or hang is undisclosed.
