CVE-2025-65095Network attack vector

Cross-site scripting via unescaped shortened strings

Published Nov 19, 2025 · Updated Nov 20, 2025

Cross-site scripting in Lookyloo before 1.35.1 allows remote attackers to execute browser-side code through the index and tree pages. The shorten_string function passes unescaped strings into Markup-backed span output, including the title attribute, before truncating and returning the HTML. Exploitation requires a user to view affected content; the shipped default content security policy mitigates execution, while modified policies can expose the flaw.
