Out-of-bounds read in Ashlar-Vellum CAD products 12.6.1204.216 and earlier allows attackers to disclose data or execute code via a crafted VC6 file. The shared VC6 file parser reads beyond intended buffer bounds while processing attacker-controlled file content; no public source identifies the responsible function or field. Exploitation requires a user to open or import the file locally, after which code runs in the application user’s context or process memory is disclosed.
