Remote code execution via undersized heap buffer copy
Published Feb 3, 2026 · Updated Feb 3, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in the PostScript interpreter of affected Lexmark printers allows remote attackers to execute code as an unprivileged user. The execuserobject function fails to validate the length of user-supplied data before copying it into a heap buffer. No authentication or user interaction is required; crafted PostScript input must reach the interpreter, and successful exploitation runs code as the pagemaker user.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
