Authenticated OS command execution via showerr traversal
Published Dec 16, 2025 · Updated Dec 16, 2025
OS command injection in Wavestore Server before 6.44.44 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary OS commands through WaveView. The showerr script fails to confine a client-supplied path to the predefined script set, so the server executes an attacker-selected OS command. Reachability requires a high-privilege WaveView account; successful exploitation grants command execution with the server process privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
