Unauthorized poll cloning via unchecked pollId
Published Nov 19, 2025 · Updated Nov 19, 2025
Improper authorization in Rallly before 4.5.4 allows remote authenticated users to clone polls owned by other accounts. The polls.duplicate backend trusts the client-controlled pollId and creates a copy without confirming that the requester owns the referenced poll. A valid session and a known poll ID are required; the resulting copy exposes poll configuration and metadata without altering the original.
