Device access via active Telnet debug service
Published Nov 26, 2025 · Updated Nov 26, 2025
Active debug code in SwitchBot Smart Video Doorbell firmware before 2.01.078 allows attackers to access the device through Telnet. The production firmware leaves a Telnet-accessible debug path active, exposing a device login surface that should not ship enabled. The attacker must have low-privileged access from an adjacent network; the advisory does not identify the resulting account or command privileges.
