Stored XSS via unsanitized uploaded SVG rendering
Published Nov 19, 2025 · Updated Nov 19, 2025
Stored XSS in Homarr before 1.43.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user's browser via an uploaded SVG. The /api/user-medias/ endpoint returned attacker-controlled SVG content without sanitizing scripts or inline event handlers, while iframe items lacked sandboxing. An attacker must be able to upload media and edit a board; execution in an administrator's session can add the attacker's account to credentials-admin.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
